NET.ART 3520 :: Project 5 (Who.Am.We)
The line between where our personal identities truly begin and end can be skewed enough in real life, but what happens when that question is taken online and pushed even further? That's what this assignment was all about. For three weeks, I lived vicariously through a true life character named Speedy Jackson. I went out and 'found' and 'created' 'friends' on Facebook and MySpace, I created a Speedy YouTube channel and participated in online Michael Jackson discussion groups - the whole time posing as someone that I'm not. There was a creap factor built in to this project, but it turned out to be interesting and kinda fun. This is a 45 second Flash e-card that could be used to gain more 'friends' online.
